Mat Kelcey and I wrote on this talk together. Mat presented at the Sydney event (slides) and I presented at the Melbourne Event (different but same slides).
We also had the pleasure of presenting alongside international guests Arif Wider and Sean Gustafson who shared their excellent DataDevOps manifesto (there’s a video from NDC too). I’d seen Arif’s presentation and thought it was something Australian audiences would love.
The main contention of the talk is that:
- AI is about people – intelligent empowerment
- AI is narrow, but composable – composable intelligence
- AI solutions can (and should) be built iteratively – continuous intelligence
We also addressed the enormous opportunity for AI and the concept of a social license granted by appropriate applications and controls.
