While the innovative application of generative AI in part 3 of my 2020 Lockdown Wheelie Project is yet to achieve AGI, the idea of sensors, logging, and onboard feedback for mountain bike tricks developed in parts 1 and 2 of the series has now gone mainstream!
The Bosch eBike Flow app now includes Trick Check, for tracking wheelies and other tricks including manuals, jumps and stoppies, written up in Flow Mountain Bike.
It’s yet to be revealed whether Bosch’s future plans include anything to rival my trail-breaking onboard AI wheelie coach. Anticipating I’d have further tricks up my sleeve, this is still available as theknack.pro.
If Bosch continue exploiting their second-mover advantage this aggressively, I’ll need to announce new features integrating body pose tracking from the phone’s front facing camera!
They say in tech that you’re not wrong, but early. I was really tickled to see another hobby project come to life.
